We will advocate for the prosperity of Wyoming's young adults by building hope, developing policies to better the system, and empower current youth in care in securing their future.

Membership Statement

Wyoming Advocates for Youth Consists of out of home care, such as formal foster care, including but not limited to, group homes, treatment facilities, mental health facilities, institutions, kinship care (living with a non parent relative),and foster homes, over the age of 17.  There is No Maximum age limit, Must have been in care for at least one year. (so basically to be a member you had to have been in care for at least a year in your life, be over the age of 17 and willing to help those who are in care now have the best life they can possible have.)

Wyoming Advocates for Youth can not function with out the help of out allies. We define allies as child welfare professionals or friends of foster care who work with alumni to achieve a shared mission. This includes but is not limited to DFS Workers, kinship care givers, teachers, foster parents, police, lawyers, Guardians; if you have a voice you can take a stand! Together we can make a diffrence.

For better or worse children are placed in the foster care system. Somone has to take responsibility and protect these children and youth. Every child deserves the best life humanly possible. Growing up in the foster care system can be dificult.  It's time to give them what they need to be successful in life.  Its time to reform foster care.

                   Where there's a will there's WAY.
